I practiced as a solicitor for over 40 years, until 2017. During that time I was a partner, and eventually Senior Partner in a Liverpool firm of Solicitors, having started out at the Vauxhall Law Centre in Liverpool in 1980. I was a leading figure in litigation being a member of the AvMA clinical Negligence panel, A Fellow of APIL and President of Liverpool Law Society in 2012. At the Law Centre I was involved at the cutting edge of Housing Law and practice. I was the solicitor in the case of Rimmer v Liverpool City Council [1985] QB 1. Since 2017 I have mainly helped firms in relation to Housing Cases, both by way of training and consultancy support. I regularly speak at conferences and present in-house training. I also put on a popular monthly webinar to lawyers. Alongside the housing work he helps firms with related matters including practice & procedure and costs. I was very involved in helping firms respond to the case of Mazur… I am very active on social media and am a Top Legal LinkedIn influencer. Steve has spent his entire legal life working and campaigning for Access to Justice. He write a regular Substack column of law and legal matters –
